EarthPeople Media evaluated the waste stream, recycling program, supply chain, policies, and facilities of a multi-office law firm in Texas. We uncovered $400,000 in potential savings through energy efficiency and resource conservation and produced Gardere’s first sustainability report. The firm earned media recognition for its environmental leadership and was recognized as the first firm in Texas to join the ABA-EPA Law Office Climate Challenge.
EarthPeople Media provided sustainability support to J.C. Penney Company, Inc., one of America’s leading retailers. The Fortune 500 corporation is also leader in energy efficiency, earning the prestigious ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award consistently since 2008. Our sustainability communication support helped drive conservation in JCPenney’s home office and raise environmental awareness for the company’s 150,000 associates.
EarthPeople Media developed and edited ENERGIZED, a client storybook for International Finance Corporation that chronicles lessons learned by 13 banks along their journeys into sustainable energy finance. International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. This booklet is being used to facilitate knowledge transfer among stakeholders to IFC banks in order to expand the market for sustainable financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
EarthPeople Media provides content strategy and conference support to Enablon, the world’s leading provider of Sustainability, EH&S and Operational Risk Management Software. EPM president Anna Clark moderated the keynote panel for the company’s 2014 and 2015 SPF Americas conferences; conducted video interviews with attendees; and drafted a white paper and case studies to communicate results from the company’s software implementations.
EarthPeople Media designed and executed a comprehensive public relations strategy for the launch of Plugless Power, a product of Evatran, a Virginia-based clean-technology company. Our public relations efforts helped establish brand recognition for this groundbreaking electric vehicle supply equipment and earn the company international media coverage.
EarthPeople Media calculated GHG emissions for Scotch Corporation for five consecutive years, helping the cleaning products manufacturer identify cost-savings opportunities. We prepared a report for the Carbon Disclosure Project, which significantly increased this supplier’s score on the Walmart Sustainability Supplier Assessment, giving Scotch Corporation a competitive advantage within its industry.
EarthPeople Media served as an organizer and strategic partner for Climate Extremes Texas, an official pre-COP21 conference hosted by the SMU Hunt Institute of Engineering and Humanity in partnership with the French Consulate. To promote the conference, EarthPeople Media organized a collaborative social meda campaign for #ClimateExtremesTX with Schneider Electric, Air Liquide, SMU, the French Consulate and other community partners. Carrying forward the mission of the conference, EarthPeople Media is a founding member of the Inclusive Economy Consortium (
www.inclusivedfw.org).
EarthPeople Media is the first US-based consultancy to join the Plastic Disclosure Project, which supports transparency in plastic usage and recycling. Furthering our support for ocean conservation, we also dedicated a pro-bono campaign to Shark Stewards, a San Francisco-based non-profit to stop shark finning, an unsustainable practice that is contributing to the removal of 100 million sharks per year from the oceans. Together with the Humane Society of the United States, the coalition’s advocacy efforts helped Texas become the 10th state to prohibit the sale and consumption of shark fins and the first “red” state in America to exhibit such leadership.
